On top of using your home security system, here are some other tips on how to deter any imminent threat of burglary:

• If you are going on vacation this summer, have a neighbor pick up your mail. An over flowing mailbox is a sure sign that no one is at home.
  
• You can also put some of your interior lights on a timer to give the illusion that someone is at home.
  
• If your neighbors are having company while you are away, welcome them to have their visitor’s park in your driveway.
